“First, Havana, a city of contrasts between palaces and ruins, between openness to the world and deep attachment to its History. Its decrepit walls, its sunburnt colors, its music and especially its Cubans. A deep, serious look and yet filled with tenderness.
This look moved me to tears, reminding me of the proud gaze of the Greeks.
And then Trinidad, a city "village" like a painting of a thousand and one colors, a city frozen in time, like straight out of a novel by Ernest Hemingway.
Slow-motion lives, simple and sweet to the rhythm of the sun and nature.
I had come to look for an elsewhere, a new world, a culture and especially humanity,
Here I am filled with a country.
